Our One Chip team believes in the power of bringing together kindergarten content standards with fine motor skills and engagement. In this compact kit, students will utilize nuts, bolts, and washers to help build and reinforce math and literacy skills. Please read the directions below on how to prep and implement this compact kit with your students, along with the directions for each of the task cards. As always, these are suggested directions and you should feel free to adapt to what works best for your students. Please also note that there are varying levels of difficulty within the task cards, so do not feel that every student needs each task.
This kit comes with eight activities (108 task cards), each designed to utilize the same materials: bolts, nuts, and washers. We also suggest the following optional item for each student: a small container. All of these items can be found on our Amazon Storefront (link on www.onechipedu.com). You can also choose to laminate the cards, in which case a dry erase marker is also suggested. Once you cut the sheet into individual cards, students can spend a few minutes each morning completing a task or more.

- Four 3/8-16" bolts
- Twenty 3/8-16" nuts
- Ten 7/8" diameter flat washers
